Overview
The Aston Neighbourhood Town Centre (NTC) site is located within Melbourne’s northern growth corridor, 2 km to the south-west of Craigieburn Central which is a sub-regional shopping centre anchored by Big W and Kmart discount department stores.
The site is within the City of Hume in Melbourne’s northern growth corridor where rapid population growth has occurred over many years, and where
precinct structure plans (PSPs) are progressively being completed to guide future housing subdivision.
Hume has a current population of 258,000 people and is expected to add more than 85,000 new residents over the next 12 years, or a 33% increase on current levels.

The Aston NTC site is within the Craigieburn R2 PSP area which extends west of Stockland’s Highlands estate and is located to the north and south of Craigieburn Road. The PSP commenced development in 2013 but is now nearing completion.
